Application of GDP-32II and EH4 to Prediction of Mineralization at Depth

The purpose of this work is to develop a set of effective methods to predict mineralization potential at depth. The GDP-32II multi-function electrical measurement system is used to obtain the charging rate of geological bodies at depth. In this system there is a pole-dipole device,and the induced polarization method in the time domain is used. The survey pot space is 40 m,and the longest supply electrode separation is greater than1000 m. Using the EH4 conductivity imaging system,electronic resistivity of geological bodies is measured,with electrode spacing 20m or 40m. The results show this combined method can measure the charging rate 340m beneath the ground and electronic resistivity at depth 600 m. Through the integrated interpretation and combined with geological and geochemical information,this work suggests that the abnormal mineralized body is featured by high charging rate and low electronic resistivity. And it has achieved the goal to evaluate mineralization at depth.
