Information of Crust-mantle Interaction Implied in Early Cretaceous Composite Lavas and Dikes from Eastern Zhejiang

There is a large range of Nd isotopic variation in Early Cretaceous tholeiitic basalts and diabase from eastern Zhejiang. Their ε_(Nd)(t)=2. 46~-8. 04; (~(87)Sr /~(86)Sr)_i= 0. 705~0. 709; ~(206)Pb/~(204)Pb = 18. 338~18. 726;~(207)Pb/~(204)Pb=15. 554~15. 799,~(208)Pb/~(204)Pb=38. 419~39. 319. The associatied contemporary rhyolites and granite porphyry show combined features of I-type and S-type granites of southern China. Compared with similar basalts from some intraoceanic arc and contaminated basalts in some island arcs and continental arcs, these basalts not only have high LILE but also high LREE and HFSE concentrations. The rounded zircon derived from Proterozoic basement rocks has been found in the basalts. There exists evidence from magma mixing of contemporary basaltic and rhyolitic magmas. These suggest that the Early Cretaceous tholeiitic magma of eastern Zhejiang was derived from enriched mantle and contaminated by crustal rocks and melts during underplating and ascending processes.
