Recent Approach to Space—Time Distribution and Sedimentary Structural Evolution of Permian Reef in Youjiang Basin

Early—middle Permian sponge—algal limestones along isolated-platforms margin are recently identified sponge—algal-reef in Yo ujiang basin. Therefore there exist three reef-building stages (early, middle and late Permian) instead of one (middle Permian). Started earlier or later and fitfully circled the platform margins from early to late Permian, those reefs outline clearly isolated-platforms and basins framework in Youjiang Permian basin. In addition, considering the limestone dikes and the cliff-like pseudo-unconformity occurring along the platform margins and the correlated strata sequences developed in Youjiang basin the Palaeozoic isolated-platforms surrounded by Triassic strata are undoubted in situ system instead of tectonic-formed detached blocks.
