The Application of Telemedical Image Enhancement Technology on DM6437

In telemedical system,there exist image problems caused by images themselves or during transmission,such as bluring,contrast reduction,big dynamic range.In order to solve these problems,a method for telemedical image enhancement is proposed in this paper.It's based on DM6437 and improved Retinex algorithm.This paper employs adaptive linear stretching method on the basis of the Global Retinex algorithm to enhance the contrast of the image.The algorithm is optimized later and then transplanted to DM6437 platform to realize the embedded platform application.It shows that the system can enhance low contrast,compress dynamic range and significantly increase the dark zone's information for telemedical images.It overcomes deficiencies in conventional image enhancement algorithms and meets the requirements of telemedicine.
