Alkali Feldspar Granite of Dongqiyishan,Inner Mongolia and Its Metallogenesis

Alkali feldspar granite has been widely regarded as the character of polymetallic mineralization, especially mineralization of rare metals. The rock of such kind is distributed mainly within the folding system of North China. The Dongqiyishan alkali feldspar granite in western Inner Mongolia is an infrequent large mineralized unit of rare metals. Little work by previous geolgoists leads to a poor understanding of this area. Based on the previous research, the study performed a lot of detailed work on lithology, mineralization and mechanism. The results show that the intrusive unit is an alkali feldspar granite rock body resulted from direct differential evolution of the crust-derived magma. Besides a high Rb content, Nb and Ta is of economic value. In addition, the alkali feldspar granite is the source of the tungsten, tin and beryllium resources. The large fluorite deposit and aragonite-calcite deposit derived can also be exploited, and this greatly advances our understanding of petrogenesis and mineralization of the Dongqiyishan alkali feldspar granite. This study has great significance for guiding regional prospecting ore deposits related with intrusions of this kind.
