Comprehensive Assessment Model of Tunnel Fire Safety and Application in Engineering

Appropriate safety assessment of tunnel fire is the basis for predicting and controlling fires and designing fire prevention measures.Since the reason for occurrence of tunnel fire is very complex,according to influence factors and their relationships,this paper suggests an index system for risk assessment of tunnel fire,which can be of practical reference to the safety management in the tunnel operationt.A comprehensive tunnel fire safety assessment model,"FAD",is established by combining fuzzy mathematics,analytic hierarchy process and Delfei experts method.The application of this model to fire risk assessment of Shanghai Outer Ring demonstrates its accuracy and reliability and provides some guidelines for performance-based fire prevention design of tunnel,thus makes the fire prevention measures and safety management more scientific,reasonable and effective.
