Experimental Study on Performance of Wet Scrubber on Dioxins Emission from a MSW Incinerator

Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs) in flue gas from inlet and outlet of wet scrubber of 150t/h MSW fluidized bed combustor in the different combustion conditions are detected by high resolution gas chromatograph coupled to low resolution mass spectrometry (HRGC/LRMS). Destructive efficiency of dioxins by wet scrubber are 87.33%, 99.53%, 85.84% in terms of total dioxin amount in the different combustion conditions. PCDD/Fs emitting from the stack are all lower than the Chinese emission standard (1ngI-TEQ/Nm3). The results of the experiment indicate that wet scrubber is the efficient unit for destructing dioxins.
