An On-line Monitoring System for Cross-section Temperature in Pulverized Coal-fired Furnaces

An on-line monitoring system for cross-section temperature fields in furnace based on radiative temperature measurement is designed. Four flame detectors are installed on a section above combustors region of furnace. Through processing flame radiative image, the temperature fields of the section are detected. In one second, many functions include the calculation, display and data saving can be completed. The system calibrated through blackbody has high precision. The results of two 300MW coal-fired boilers show that temperature distributions of the section above combustors region shows uni-model distribution attribute, and it fits the running characteristic of boiler. Comparing with that of the thermocouple, the error is less than 50℃.
