Ammonia Corruption Analysis of Copper Tube Used in Low Pressure Heater and Experimental Research on Non-copper Improvement

The condition and mechanism of copper tube used in LP heater is analyzed. A basic and industrial experiment, where steel spirally fluted tube is used to replace copper smooth tube in LP heater, is carried out. The experimental results, which get from condensation heat transfer experiment of single helical tube using water vapor and water as its working pair, show that the overall heat transfer coefficient of the CS spirally fluted tube is 10%~17% larger than that of the CS plain tube. At the same time, the industrial experimental results also show that the total heat transfer coefficient of the steel spirally fluted tube is 2.5% larger than that of the copper plain tube. Therefore, using steel spirally fluted tube replacing copper plain tube in HP preheater can be adopted for the boiler feedwater system without copper.
