High Resolution Profile-based Angular Tracking Technology for Monopulse Radar

ZHAO Hong zhong,HE Song hua(ATR Lab.,National University of Defence Technology,Changsha,410073,China)  
Designed for the glint of the wide band millimeter radar in angular tracking,a new angular algorithm is presented based on high resolution range profile.In this algorithm,the return signal is processed into one dimension profile prior to monopulse angular procedure,then we can get the angle series versus range cell.After smoothing process,we can obtain the position of the center in the target.The simulation test prove that this algorithm can greatly improve the angular accuracy.
