Adaptive Fuzzy Hough Transform

A new method for line detection,Adaptive Fuzzy Hough Transform (AFHT),is introduced.Based on the fuzzy mapping of edge pixels by local gradient orientations,the AFHT calculates the actual line parameters for each pixel by fuzzy reasoning with the fuzzy accumulator array as global constraints,and detects straight line segments through a reaccumulating procedure.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has small computational requirements,high detection accuracy,and the capability of providing complete line segment description.
