Research on Quality Measures for Image Fusion

How to universally measure the quality of fused image is one of the most important problems in image fusion.This paper analyses the measures of fused image quality in existence,then presents a new evaluation of fused image,which combines objective and subjective factors.In addition,it considers the characteristics of human visual system without reference image and can be used to choose the best algorithm in image fusion applications.The experiments of different kinds of images and image fusion algorithms demonstrate that it is a practical,effective,and universal measure of quality of fused image.
