Based on the studies of the tidal stress actions on seismic faults, the lunar-solar declinations and ecliptic-longitude differences for strong and moderate-strong triggered by tidal stress are calculated. The distribution patterns of the lunar-solar location parameters are obtained. The results indicate that the distribution patterns for the two tectonic regions in Yunnan and Sichuan are different. The characteristics of ecliptic-longitude-difference patterns for strong and moderatestrong earthquakes triggered by tidal stress are not alike. The patterns reveal the lunar-solar locations for the earthquakes that are most liable to be triggered by tidal stress.
