A lot of works have been done on gold deposits in China in resent years. The paper summarizes up the progress of gold metallogeny mainly concentrating on studies of the 8 aspects:(1) the large-super-large gold deposits,(2) the regional gold metallogeny and the metallogenic system,(3) the orogenic gold metallogeny and types of the orogenic gold deposit developed from subductiive(accretional) orogenic to collisional orogenic metallogeny,(4) the gold metallogenic series, lineage and system,(5) hot point, mantle plume and the multi-stage evolution from marginal gold metallogeny of plate to intra-plate gold metallogeny,(6) the gold metallogenic epoch from approximate to precise,(7) real time model of the modern gold deposits,(8) gold metallogeny related to plate tectonic evolution, the tectonic movement beyond plate and the earth dynamics.
