Geological feature and genesis of Miaozui vanadium deposit in Xichuan county,Henan province

Miaozui is a medium vanadium deposit located in the south flank of Jingziguan to Shigang synclinorium of the South Qinling fold belt.Ore bodies occur in black siliceous rock and mudstone at bottom of Lower Cambrian Shuikougou Formation and are strictly controlled by strata and lithologies.Clay rock and banded siliceous rock are the two main ore types.Vanadium occurs mainly as absorbed ions and isomorphs in clay minerals.Genetically it is a littoral-shallow sea stratabound sedimentary V deposit.
