Comparison of optical access solutions for VIP clients

Three competitive optical access solutions in FTTP field are compared in the thesis, which are SMTP and RPR based on SDH, EPON and multi-service network optical transceiver (star topology optical device combining TDM and Ethernet service on transmission layer). And the conclusion that EPON and multiservice network optical transceiver are suitable solutions for most VIP clients in FTTP application is drawn.
