A Discussion Concerning the Use of Steel 102 for High Temperature Superheaters and Reheaters

Abstract The paper reports creep rupture test results of imported and domestic 102 steel tubes and discusses the steels used for high temperature superheaters and reheaters of 300MW and 600MW boilers at home and abroad. Test and analysis results show that operational safety and reliability of boilers can be warranted by using 102 steel for high temperature superheaters, the wall temperature of which do not exceed 580℃, and for high temperature reheaters, the wall temperature of which do not exceed 590℃.
