This paper calls for an increased consciousness in stylistics teaching,to enable the students'to master analytical techniques and to see the merits and demerits of these techniques using critical thinking in the investigation of the status quo in stylistics teach- ing.Meanwhile,we present a framework for how the training of school consciousness can be carried out in the stylistics classroom.
