英语写作时长、字数与文章质量关系之调查

This study, based on the SPSS analysis of the writings by non-English majors, tries to find out the influences of time allotment and word limit on English writing qualities. The result shows that time allotment and word limit do affect greatly the writing quality, to be exact and precise, on accuracy, complexity, and the content. The survey reveals that 40 minutes is the best time allotment and 140 words are the optimal word limit for the timed writing.
