Nanosized zinc oxide prepared by thermal explosion method

Chen Defeng; Shi Guoshun; Ma Lidum(Center for Analysis and Measurement)  
Using zinc nitrate as raw material, zinc peroxide was prepared by oxidation of zinc oxide by hydrogen peroxide. The nanosized zinc oxide was Obtained after thermal explosion of zinc peroxide. Nanosized zinc oxide was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction and transmission electron microscope. The form of the grains is coneshaped and size of the grains is about (8~20) nm × (50~100) nm.
