Litter Decomposition Rate of Sand-fixation Forest in Zhanggutai Region

The litters decomposition rates of sand-fixation forest in Zhanggutai were studied in the lab.Result shows that the litter decomposition rate of different tree species increase with the soil moisture increasing.The litter decomposition rate under maximum moisture capacity and field moisture capacity reach the fastest.The maximum decomposition rate of different litters appear in the first week,but lower decomposition rate appear in the seventh week and then after a slow rise progress,sub-high point of decomposition rate appeared in the ninth week,followed by a decrease progress.At the end of the experiment,due to the smallest C/N,litter decompose percentage of poplar reach 79.14%,but the average decompose percentage of three pine species is 72.80%.This indicate that the turnover period of poplar litter is the shortest,which is mainly related to the smaller C/N value of poplar litter.
