Nitrogen Removal by Denitrification from Nitrite

Nitrogen removal technology of denitrification from nitrite in artificial wastewater was studied. The artificial wastewater was prepared by dissolving NaNO 2 in water,while methanol as addition carbon. The optimum conditions of denitrification,which were pH 8.3,temperature 28 ℃,N/C1.6,sludge/water 0.32 respectively,were given by the controlled weighted simplex method.Under the optimum conditions the nitrogen removal rate and velocity of denitrification are 99% and 162 mg/L·h respectively,when the concentration of nitrite lower than 350 mg/l,it is showed that the denitrification process we got is steady and powerful to treat higher nitrogen concentration wastewater.
