Modeling on Vibration Isolator Made by Foam Plastics with Experimental Method

A kind of novel vibration isolator made by reinforced foam plastics is modeled by experiment. On the basis of analysis on dynamic test data and research results of the vibration isolator ,and according to the condition of displacementrestoring force hysteretic loops responding to the vibration velocity of the isolator, the loop is resolved into upper curve and lower curve. The same performance and installation geometrical symmetry and upper restoring force curve and lower one on displacement antisymmetry performance of the isolators are made use of , test data describing the upper and lower curves are fit by least square principle, the restoring force is resolved into nonlinear nonhysteretic elastic restoring force and nonlinear hysteretic damping force with mathematic transform. The research results show that the idea and method presented by authors are useful for modeling of the isolator. The study provides useful means for modeling of this kind isolator and provides a world of convenience for parameters identification of the restoring force and lays a good foundation and has prepared data for dynamic design and dynamic optimization of the isolator.
