Engineering Instance of Treating Intermediate Chemicals Wastewater

This article treated the wastewater contained intermediate chemicals by "pulse-electro-coagulation + two-stage A/O - flocculation" process, and applied in project. At first, complicated macromolecule organic compounds were decompounded into simple small molecules,with the biodegradability increased. Then the organic compounds were digested by microorganism. In the end the inorganic suspend matter was removed by flocculation. The water after treating fit to first grade of Integrated wastewater discharge standard. When this process was executed, the operational cost was 11 $/m3, that was 1/3 less than the normal process.
