Reaction Kinetics of Photocatalytic Degradation of 2-Chlorophenol on TiO_2 Film

This paper reports on the experiments of photocatalytic degradation of 2-chlorophenol in aqueous solution by using TiO 2/glass film. Preparation of the films and the characterization of crystal type and size of TiO 2 in the films by XRD are described. The results show the film coated with five layers of TiO 2 has relatively high catalytic activity, and the relationship between initial concentration of 2-chlorophenol and reaction rate follows Langmur-Hinshelwood equation.
