Preparation of Microbial Flocculants and Its Removal to Turbidity

A high flocculation microbe named WB-2 was screened from activated sludge and wastewater of wastewater treatment plant, which has good flocculation effect on kaolinite. The microbial flocculants were ideal to flocculate algae wastewater when using together with polymer iron sulphate. Turbidity removal was up to 98.6% and colority up to 82% under the condition of microbial flocculants concentration 5mg/L and polymer iron sulphate 5~6mg/L.
