Calculation of Heavy Metals' Toxicity Coefficient in the Evaluation of Potential Ecological Risk Index

Only 7 heavy metals' toxic coefficients are used to assess pollution degree of heavy metals in many papers that use the method of Potential Ecological Risk Index(RI),but there are still other important heavy metals not employed to calculate toxic coefficient.Because of this,10 heavy metals' toxic coefficients are recalculated on the principle of Hakanson combining with the method of Chen Jingsheng,with 12 heavy metals' toxic coefficients as Ti=Mn=Zn=1V=Cr=2 Cu=Ni=Co=Pb=5 As=10Cd=30 Hg=40.
