Pollution Control of Waste Batteries in a City of Guangdong Province

WU Chun-de,LIU Yan,ZHU Neng-wu (School of Environment Science and Engineering,South China University of Technology,Guangzhou 510006,China)  
Based on investigation of production,distribution,using,recycle and treatment of batteries in the downtown area of a city in Guangdong Province,the amounts of waste batteries and proportion between batteries,population and GDP per capita were estimated. New recycle pattern including government,civilian organization and producer was proposed,and corresponding measures in the production and disposal process were also suggested.
