Spectrophotometric Determination of Arsenic Using Arsenoantimonomolybedenum Blue

A high sensitive method of spectrophotometric determination of arsenic was discussed,whose principle was a complex ion fixed quantified by arseno,antimonomolybedenum and methyl violet with Arabian gum and Tween-20.The best condition of chromogenic reaction was studied.Results showed that the most absorbing wavelength of the complex ion was 555nm.It can be existed steadily for 10min at room temperature,with apparent molar absorptivity of 5.87×104L/(mol·cm).Beer's law was obeyed in the range of 0.1~1.0μg/mL and 1.5~3.5μg/mL for arsenic and limit detection was 0.04μg/mL.The method which was sensitive,simple and rapid had been well applied to determine the arsenic in water and tablet of bezoar detoxification without heating.
