Spatial Distribution and Seasonal Variation of Total Phosphorus in Soils of Yeyahu Wetland

Beijing Yeyahu Wetland was chosen as a typical wetland in which collected different soil samples from May 2009 to March 2010.The spatial distribution and seasonal variation of total phosphorus(TP)were discussed.Meanwhile,relationships between various soil physi-chemical properties,such as pH,oxidation-reduction potential(Eh),particle-size distribution,relative content of clay minerals,soil water content(W%),organic matter(OM)and TP were analyzed.Results show that TP contents decreased with the increasing soil depth,TP concentrations in surface soils were changed with seasons,which was significantly affected by the plant life cycle.Both particle sizes and OM showed significant correlations with TP contents and the correlation coefficients were silt(R=0.587,α=0.01),sand(R=-0.580,α=0.05)and OM(R=0.624,α=0.01) respectively.
