Effects of damage of Aphrodisium faldermannii rufiventris on the contents of flavones and tannin in Castanopsis eyeri

By measuring the contents of flavones and tannin in Castanopsis eyeri according to different degrees of damage by Aphrodisium faldermannii rufiventris,the relation between the contents and different damage degrees was analysed.The result showed:in the seasons when A.faldermannii rufiventris was active,the contents of flavones and tannin in laminas and phloem varied with different degrees of damage in C.eyeri.In the initial stage of damage,the contents of flavones and tananin increased;as the damage degree increasing,the contents decreased.This showed that the plant had reactions to damage.In winter,when larva and imago were in the state of dormancy,the contents of flavones and tannin in laminas and phloem had no obvious difference with different degrees of damage in C.eyeri.This showed that the damage by A.faldermannii rufiventris was the key(reason) why the plant had its reactions.
