Environmental Influence on the Genetic Performance of Cytoplasmic Effects and Nucleocytoplasmic Interactions in Hybrid Rice Ⅲ.Physiological Effects of Male-sterile Cytoplasm on the First Generation of Hybrid Under Different Conditions

The results indicated that different genetic systems with different nucleocytoplasmie components have different abilities of adaption and utilization to environmence.As far as given hybrid combination was concerned,the genetic equilibrium of heterozygote and the ability of homeostasis are improved and the negative effect of male-sterile cytoplasm can be curbed under favorable condition.Then ATPase activity is promoted,while peroxidase activity weakens,this in turn leads to the increace of N concen- tration in tlag leaf,net photosynthetic efficiency and grain yield in order.So it is important to study ecological adaption to regions and corresponding technology for high yielding culti- vation of hybrid rice.
