Fermentation conditions of alkaline protease from marine bacterium strain 15E(Brevibacterium oxydans)

Fermentation conditions of alkaline protease of strain 15E(Brevibacterium oxydans) were researched.The results showed that the maximum enzyme activity and biomass could be achieved when strain 15E was cultured at 28 ℃ for 40 hours in casein medium(pH 9.0) with shaking speed 200 r·min-1.Casein medium with 5 g·L-1 beef extract and 1 g·L-1 glucose added was suitable for the growth of the bacteria and their production of protease.The concentration of K+,Ca2+ and Mg2+ in artificial seawater was suitable for growth and protease synthesis of strain 15E,while K+ was important for protease production.
