Correlative Heritabilities of Panicle Characters in indica Rice

Correlative heretabilities of panicle characters of rice were studied with 26 indica rice varieties(lines)as materials. According to the results, the phenotypic covariances between grain yield per plant and panicle length, the number of primary branches, total length of primary branches, total length of secondary branches, the number of secondary branches,main panicle weight,100 grain weight,as well as grain density, were mostly resulted from genetic components , all of their rates of correlative heritable contributions were over 70%. The direct contributions of main panicle weight, panicle number per plant, and grain density to grain yield per plant were relatively higher.
