Reaction of morphology and function of hybrid rice root system to nutrient in solution

In order to explore the possible ways to regulate the rice root system, the hybrid rice (Shanyou 63) had been breed in the nutrient liquid employed KASAGAI prescription with different dosage of NPK It turns out that the proper dosage of nutrient liquid(A litre of culture solution contains N 20 mg、P4 4 mg、K16 6 mg) may promote the root system to grow energetically;while low dosage(It is half of proper dosage) can induce the root sprawling;while high dosage(It is two times of proper dosage) may depress it from sprawling If we alternate the middle/low dosage of nurient liquid in the early and middle stage,the nutrient liquid can not only promote the growth of the upper and lower levels of crown root and branch root,but also cause crown root to grow fast As a result,the nutrient liquid can inerease the total length of root system as well as its volume,wight and vitality and enhance the production of rice When comparing the later with the treatment of continuous using proper dosage,the total length of root system、volume、 the dry matter wight raised 127%、102% and 90%,α NA of oxidizing of full heading stage added 67%,the production of rice raised 19% In brief,through regulating the nutrient liquid,we are able to control the morphology and function of the rice root system effectively
