Study on Absorption of Cr(VI) in Wastewater by Keggin ion Modified Attapulgite Clay

At the conditions that the pH of the liquor is 4~9,ζpotential of attapulgite clay modified by Keggin ion is positive value,so the modified attapulgite clay has well absorption effect to CrO42-and HCrO4-.The types of absorption are Langmuir isotherm.The saturated amount of a monomolecular layer is 3.59mg/g.The results of XRD analyse indicate that Keggin ions can not lead to obvious change of the attapulgite structure.
