Treatment of Dye Wastewater with Al-Ag Salt Modifi ed Bentonite

Calcium based bentonite was modifi ed with aluminium and silver salts. The generated Ca-bentonite/Al-Ag composite (AAB) was further used as an agent for dye wastewater treatment. Four different samples of dye wastewater (each with a concentration of 500 mg/L) were treated with AAB. The results showed that when the pH value of these samples was 7~9 and AAB was in a dosage of 3.0g/L for each sample, the decoloration of these samples was above 96% and the decrease of COD was by 88% at 20℃ for 60min.
