Study on Adsorption of Modified Sepiolite to Organic Contaminant Chlorobenzene

The characteristic of absorption of the modified sepiolite to chlorobenzene after acid and heat modification was studied in this article. The removal ratio of chlorobenzene was about 80% while the pH value was 6~7 and the absorption time was 1 hour. Meanwhile, the isotherm of the absorption of absorption of modified sepiolite to chlorobenzene was discussed. By fitting in with the isotherm equation of the adsorption, the equation fitted in the freundlich isotherm. The adsorption of the modified sepiolite to chlorobenzene was uneven and on the surface of the modified sepiolite. The adsorption dynamics was in accord with the law of the second-order equation.
