Photodegradation of Bentonite Loaded Tin-doped TiO_2 Photocatalysts to Methylene Blue

Highly efficient visible-light-induced organobentonite Tin-doped TiO2 photocatalysts were produced by sol-gel method.The microstructure of the photocatalysts were characterized by IR.In addition,its photocatalytic activity for the methylene blue was discussed under visible-light irradiation.The results demonstrated that the Tin-doped TiO2was successfully loaded on the surface of the intercalated bentonite.The degradation of 0.1 g photocatalysts reached 100% for the 30 mL 10-5mol/L methylene at pH value of 8.
