Experimental Research on Alkali-activated Concrete with Low Cement and Large Dosage of Steel Slag

Study on preparation alkali-activated large dosage of steel slag concrete's mechanical property by changing steel slag powder and slag powder proportion of mineral admixtures, and analyze its microstructure use XRD and SEM and other means of testing. The experimental results have shown that activator and water reducing agent, cementitious system, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate at a reasonable feeding, stirring sequence, the workability meet the requirements and preparation of concrete by 60% steel slag, 15% slag content, silica fume amount of 5%, only 20% of cement content, and concrete's strength grade can up to C30. Microscopic analysis showed that the 28 d hydration products of optimized concrete cementitious system has compact structure and less porosity, and better strength development in later.
