Improvement and Application of W Value Water Quality Evaluation Method

LAN Lin,ZHANG Jiang-shan(College of Chemistry and Materials Science,Fujian Normal University,Fuzhou 350007,China)  
W value method of water quality evaluation is a simple and practical method in water quality evaluation.However,there are some unreasonable facts in it.W value method and fuzzy mathematics method were combined to modify the shortage.The water quality of the Three Gorges reservoir area was assessed separately by W value method,modified W value method and fuzzy mathematics method.The analysed result showed that the modified W value method was a practical method to evaluate water quality.
