Effect of additives on copper cladding on iron powder from converter sludge

It has been studied by orthogonal experiment that the effect of additives on properties of copper cladding on iron powder.The results show that in this process the additives influence on cladding quality from strong to weak is: sodium acetate,laurel sodium sulfate,ally thiourea,polyethylene glycol;the best dosages added are sodium acetate -15 g/L,laurel sodium sulfate -1 g/L,ally thiourea -0.5 g/L,polyethylene glycol -5 g/L.A complete and consistent cladding that is well-combined with the matrix can be formed by use of the above dosages.Cu/Fe composite powder,which is batch produced by using the above process,can satisfy the user’s needs by and large.The performance index of oil retaining bearing produced by the Cu/Fe composite powder are density -5.9-6.6 g/cm3,oil containing ratio≥18%,crushing strength ≥212 MPa,hardness Hv 60-100.
