Catalytic Spectrophotometric Determination of Trace Vanadium(V)with the System of Brilliant Green and Potsssium Bromate

n this paper,a new method has been developed for determination of trace vanadium,which is based on citric acid,using a new indicator that vanidium catalytic potassium bromate oxidizats brillant green and decolours it.The range of liner is 0.02-0.10μg/25ml and 0.12 0.33μg/25ml.The limit of detection is 6.43×10-11g/ml.lt is satisfactory to apply this method to the allalysis of water and human hair samples.
