SIMPLIFICATION OF YIELD CRITERION FOR POWDER METALLURY MATERIALS

The yield criterion for powder metallurgy materials is a basis of generalized plasticity theory for these materials,and its mathematical expression has important effect on the estallishment of generalized plasticity theory.A simplified yield criterion for powder metallurgy materials with linear function and in form of hexagonal pyramid is proposed based on the analysis of the yield criterion in form of elliptical sphere,and the difference between two yield criteria is calculated.The results show that the yield oriterion in from of hexagonal pyramid is cloese to that in form of elliptical sphere in numerical solution,and is an extension of Tresca yield criterion for melted materials.
