Research on numerical simulation of 2A12 aluminum alloy manufactured by hot isostatic pressing

The 2A12 aluminum alloy powder parts with complex structure were manufactured by hot isostatic pressing(HIP). Based on the Shima model in MSC.MARC software,the forming process was simulated with the use of 2A12 aluminum alloy material parameters. Simulation results show that,the relative density of the powder in slit has gradient distribution,and the powder on side face has uniform distribution;the graphite mould has little deformation. Experimental results show that,the interface reaction happens between graphite and Al powder;the defects of pits and bumps appear on the inner wall;the Rp0.2and Rmof the sample are respectively 179 MPa and316 MPa;the fracture of the sample is along the powder interface,and the materials are fully dense with the analysis of metallographic.
