TiNi porous alloys prepared by SHS process

TiNi porous alloys were prepared as artificial bone by Self-propagation High-temperature Synthesis(SHS)in order to develop new bio-materials The mixture of titanium and nickel powder was ignited under the atmosphere of argon gas TiNi porous alloys with different microstructure were obtained by various ignition models such as preheating and heat explosion SEM and XRD were used to analysis pore characteristics and phase structures of samples Mechanical properties were also tested The results show that it is a useful method to prepare TiNi porosint alloys by SHS
