Effect of chambersite on friction and wear behavior of Cu-based friction material

In order to expand the application field of chambersite,improve performance of Cu-based friction material,the Cu-based friction material containing chambersite powder milled for 30min with 0.5wt%,1.0wt% content was prepared by SPS.Comparison was made with sample without chambersite.The hardness,density,friction coefficient and wear rate of three kinds of samples were analyzed.It indicates that the sample has higher hardness,the most stable friction coefficient(average friction coefficient is 0.218),and the smallest wear rate when chambersite content is 0.5wt%.SEM analysis shows that abrasion mechanism is adhesive wear and abrasion wear.
