Microwave sintering of Mn-Zn ferrites soft magnetic materials

In the paper,Mn-Zn ferrite materials were fabricated by different microwave sintering technology.The structure and magnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrite materials were studied by XRD as well as metallographic microscope and VSM.The results show that the microstructure of Mn-Zn ferrite soft magnetic materials prepared by the microwave sintering is consist of the main phase Mn_(1-x) Zn_x Fe_2O_4 and some Fe_2O_3 phase.Mn-Zn ferrite soft magnetic materials prepared by milling MnO,ZnO,Fe_2O_3 to less than 1μm and cold press forming as well as microwave sintering at 1 000℃ and holding 6min have small coercive force(15.52Oe) and maximum magnetic permeability(3 762H/m)and homogeneous microstructure and fine grain size.
