Method Study of Safety Factors for Stability Analysis of Geotechnical Engineering

In order to determine the appropriate safety evaluation method and yield criterion of geotechnical engineering,the safety coefficient method with point safety coefficient as the unified criterion was put forward. Based on elastic-plastic mechanics,the safety coefficient in different stress and strain spaces under different yield criterion was redefined. The results indicate that the functions of the safety coefficient based on the strain theory and the stress theory are similar,with the former being slightly more concise. Compared with the plastic zone method,safety coefficient method can determine the specific value of the surrounding rock as the quantitative criterion,and intuitively describe the failure mechanism of the rock mass,which is much more superior to the plastic zone method.
