(Drug ice consists of the root of large-flowered skullcap, honeysuckle, puffball, mint and lidocaine. All of the above herbs and lidocaine were mix-tured and decocted, then frozen fast). Control group was treated with traditional method. Result Treatedgroup has better analgesic effect than control group. There is significant difference between 2 groups (P0. 01). Conclusion Ice drug can relieve pain after tonsillectomy more effectively than that of traditional method. The integrated Chinese and Western medicine should be popularized in clinical application.
